FORGOTTEN HEROES
For this series I photographed the world of the craftsmen. Hardworking people with incredible passion and dedication to their work. People with knowledge and expertise that has developed and formed over many generations. The craft sector has a huge cultural, social, economic, and environmental impact on their society.
But it is a sector threatened with extinction. Many crafts are already on the edge of disappearing.
The aim of the series is to enthuse the new generation about this sector in order to save it from extinction and help the world on its way to sustainability.

The book will be published by famous publisher ‘Komma’, known for the Rijksmuseum book, among others. Forgotten Heroes will therefore be a true fine art book with many special elements.
