100 year anniversary
The association ‘De Hollandsche Molen’ has been essential in preserving Dutch culture over the past century. Since 1923, they have dedicated themselves to the protection of Dutch mills. Without ‘De Hollandsche Molen’, there would hardly be any mills left in the Dutch landscape today.
In 2023, the association will be 100 years old and to celebrate this anniversary, a book will be published containing everything about the world of mills.
A great honour
De Hollandsche Molen asked me to take the pictures for the book. A great honour to photograph for the association that has meant so much to Dutch culture.
I photographed the miller's craft of the 5 different mill types in The Netherlands. Not the mill from the outside, as everyone knows it, but purely that of the millers themselves.

During the opening of the book in Delft, the first copy was presented to Princess Beatrix van Oranje. Then I got the pleasure of taking Beatrix through the exhibition with the photos of the book.
